Steps
Step 1
Open Sales β Leads
Go to Sales β Leads and click New lead to open the quick capture form.
Step 2
Save the lead basics
Add a lead name, choose whether the opportunity is tied to a person, company, or no CRM record yet, and capture the sales context.
Step 3
Use CRM when possible
Search for an existing person or company, or use the quick add action to create one inline. If nothing exists yet, save a fallback contact and connect CRM later.
Step 4
Continue from Lead Detail
After save, open Lead Detail to set the branch, rental dates, requested category, and quote workflow. The same quick capture page also opens automatically if you try to save a quote before linking a lead.
Validate your work
- The lead appears in the list with the right status.
- The lead detail page opens after save so you can continue follow-up.
- You can connect CRM, set conversion data, and create the quote from Lead Detail.
