TL;DR
- Create the customer-facing Protection Plans you sell.
- Confirm Base protection is present and customer-safe.
- Choose which plans each Fare strategy can use before pricing fares.
Steps
Review Base protection
Open Commercial β Protection plans and review the required Base plan. Use it for the included responsibility terms every quote should have before an upgrade is selected.
Create customer-facing plans
Add each plan your team sells, such as Basic, Standard, or Premium. Set the public label, customer summary, included items, excluded items, and acknowledgement requirement.
Order the plan hierarchy
Put higher-tier plans above Base and lower-tier plans below Base so staff and customers see the right upgrade order.
Enable plans for Fare strategies
Go to Commercial β Fares, open the Protection plans tab, and enable only the plans this Fare version should offer. Base stays enabled automatically.
Set deposits and responsibility rules
Still in the Fare Builder Protection plans tab, set plan-specific safety deposits and responsibility rules when they differ from Base.
Validate your work
- Commercial β Protection plans lists every active plan your team sells.
- Base protection is active and cannot be archived.
- Each Fare strategy version has the correct Protection Plans enabled before fares are priced.
- A test quote only shows Protection Plans enabled for the selected Fare.
