TL;DR
- Group similar vehicles so your team can price and book faster.
- Add a clear name, features, and a photo for each category.
- Assign vehicles to the right category so availability is accurate.
- If you already have category data, import it from Assets -> Categories -> Import.
Steps
Step 1
Open vehicle categories
Go to Assets β Categories to view existing groups or create the first one.
Step 2
Import existing categories
If you have category data in a spreadsheet, open Assets β Categories β Import. Download the guide or example file, upload your export, and confirm the column mapping before creating or updating categories.
Step 3
Create a new category
To add one category manually, create a new category, add a name, and describe what customers can expect (seats, luggage, and key features).
Step 4
Highlight the category
Add an icon or image and list the main features your customers care about. Save when it looks right.
Step 5
Assign existing vehicles
Assign existing vehicles to the category so quotes and bookings use the right category.
Validate your work
- The categories list shows your new category and its vehicles.
- New vehicles can be assigned to this category.
- Quotes and bookings show the category name you set.
